On Thursday, The Alden Kindred of America reaches a special milestone as this longtime Duxbury establishment celebrates the tenth anniversary of the Speak for Thyself Awards event, which is dedicated to recognizing the contributions of remarkable women to their communities and to the world.
The awards will take place at the Duxbury Bay Maritime School, 457 Washington Street from 6-9 p.m. This year, two of the three award recipients come from Duxbury, and also a Duxbury High School senior will be receiving a special award.
