When a family member dies, it can be hard to find a fitting tribute. Other times, it’s almost like fate hands you the keys and points you in the right direction.
The latter is what has seemed to happen for Jessica Williams. She has found an almost perfect way to honor her father Ed Russell, a former Duxbury resident who died April 6 of an aggressive form of leukemia.
Williams, who grew up in town, and at least four Duxbury sailors are competing in the 22nd annual Leukemia Cup Regatta on June 4 at the New York Yacht Club in Newport. They will be on board Duxbury Selectman Shawn Dahlen’s boat Attitude, a 42’ Beneateau sloop-rigged sailboat.
